The psychic insisted on walking through the vault area with OF&A's investigators. She claimed that a specific spot had something to do with the identity of the perpetrator. The investigators were baffled as the spot was in the middle of an open area, with no desk or chair close to it.

OF&A's investigators established that a certain staff member used to sit at the spot identified by the psychic before being transferred to another department and floor. After an investigation into his financial background, OF&A found he had developed lavish spending habits soon after the money disappeared. The suspect was confronted and confessed he had kept the key to the safe after leaving the department. Once in the safe he decided to "take some of the cash lying around" as he was sure nobody would suspect him.
