SLIPPING PASS SECURITY
After suffering heavy stock losses despite having a very good security system in place, OF&A's client decided to start an investigation.

One of the OF&A investigators discovered that a senior worker in the warehouse regularly bought inexpensive merchandise using his staff discount. Further investigation revealed that the man was living far above his income.

The investigator approached the suspect on an undercover basis, and striking a deal with him, managed to buy a very expensive product at a greatly discounted price. In order to make the purchase, the men had to meet at a shack in a squatter camp which the suspect was using as his 'warehouse'.

It was subsequently discovered that the suspect had been buying specific products at the staff price, but taking the most expensive item in the range instead of the one that he had legally purchased. When going through security for clearance, he always had an invoice to prove that he had paid for his purchase.

The suspect was arrested, having been found in possession of a large amount of the client's stock. OF&A's client has since instigated stricter security measures in order to prevent future losses occurring in the same way.
