Strong skills

Strong skills base

OF&A boasts the substantial skills of Ockie Fourie, its founder and managing director. He spent 13 years in the Criminal Investigation Department of the South African Police (SAP), most of them in the Commercial Branch as a commissioned officer, investigating white-collar crime.

It this capacity he dealt extensively with forensic auditors commissioned by the State to support prosecution and litigation. During this time he also obtained a BA Law, majoring in Police Science and Criminology. A few years at a commercial bank gave Ockie exposure to the commercial and financial world, inspiring him to use his financial and investigative skills to start up his own investigations company, now OF&A. His years of successes have gained his company entry to international associations such as the World Association of Detectives and the Association of British Investigators.

Highly trained staff

Part of the success of the company lies in the support they get from their well-qualified staff.

With the increased globalisation of trade, comes an increased demand for industry and financial fraud investigations to be carried out across borders.

It is necessary to develop global networks to carry out the most effective investigations for clients.

To this end, OF&A have developed sound partnerships with some of the largest and most professional investigation companies in the world. Ockie concludes, "South Africa's increasing crime rate means that it is necessary to have as strong a crime-fighting industry as possible"."
