PAPER RECYCLING | | OF&A's technical team was recently involved in a case where the hidden camera they installed revealed a complex scam.
| | The case revolved around a man buying and selling photocopy paper from the back of his car. His crime was that his 'suppliers' were selling him the paper without going through their respective companies. These companies know of stock losses but were unable to source the thefts.
OF&A were brought onto the case by one of the paper companies, which was contacted by a person working in the building next to where the 'paper man' conducted his business. For six weeks a camera was installed in this person's window, gathering evidence of the sellers and other members of the syndicate. The latter included security guards in the parking garage opposite the building. The guards would keep stock for the 'paper man' if deliveries were made and he was not there.

| | With all the evidence on tape, the paper company could confront the employees involved in the scam, many of whom were given a summary dismissal. OF&A then approached the other paper companies whose employees were involved and gave them the evidence that answered their questions about missing stock. |
